Can you be supervised remotely in Utah?
Only partly. Some supervision or presence must be in person or on site. What shapes this: in-person minimum, state-only supervisor credential, prior board approval, video limited.
- Video supervision: 'Direct supervision' may be in the same room or remote via real-time audio+video, but remote supervision requires a written remote supervision agreement pre-approved in writing by DOPL; hours before approval do not count
- Phone only: not allowed (remote direct supervision only via real-time visual and audio)
- In-person minimum: Remote supervision agreement must include supervisor physically visiting the supervisee's practice location at least quarterly (lesser frequency only if Division/Board approve)
