- three years' full-time supervised experience (statute); minimum of 3000 hours post-MSW supervised experience (rule)
- Supervision: 120 hours; ≥50% by a qualifying LCSW

- Internship: APA/CPA-accredited or APPIC-member internship of ≥2,000 hours, or equivalent (2,000 h in 11–24 months, ≥500 h direct client contact)
